Koh Khai Nok - the egg island

From the air this tiny island looks like a fried egg. There is great snorkeling right off the beach, which makes it perfect for spending the day looking a fishes.
With our life jackets on we were ready to go! Our friendly Thai guide was enthusiastically telling us all about the island, including the fact that a few days before they saw a 4m white pointer. They only see them a few times each year. Hmmmm, thanks for scaring the beegeebees out of us!
This is the view as we approached on the boat. You can see the green 'hills' the would be the 'yolk'.

The island is 'decked' out with many chairs (haha).

And there are a few cute little coves. When we first arrived there was hardly anyone else around and the sea was still and the sun was shinning!

Step out into the water and we were greeted by many colourful fish. It was so fun swimming around with them all.

Rob relaxing.

Just before lunch we jumped on board the boat again and were taken to the waters surrounding the island on the left (see below). It was here that I found Nemo! It was great and I really didn't want to leave. A little island paradise like in that book 'The Beach'.
